APAC Buyer(ADL)

Overall Purpose

Responsibility includes the development of new supplier bases, follow the program timing to complete new program sourcing and implement annual commercial negotiation for direct material components. Work closely with global purchasing team members and cross functional team.

The key responsibilities of the job

Decide and develop for supplier strategy and continue develop and optimize local supply base.

Conduct supplier audits in line with qualification procedures. Ensure effective quality management systems are in place for all suppliers. Deal with all supplier quality or reliability issues as required.

Delivery on agreed cost reduction and localization target.

Secure supply capacity and quality to production plants.

Co-operate in global cross-functional teams to develop and utilise strategies to maximise corporate synergies.

Strive to attain constant improvements and increase efficiency.

Act as main contact for all commercial issues towards supplier base.

Work closely with ADAP Operations (Zhuhai) to ensure good availability of supply.

Any and all other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.

Achieve company cost reduction target

Achieve on time delivery target

Qualifications

Bachelor degree or above with engineering/supplier chain/commercial management background.

Skills & Knowledge

Fluent English in oral and written, be able in a variety of English communication clearly and sufficiently.

Experience of working for European or North American companies

Familiar with cost analysis & reduction tools and approaches.

Ability to focus on task and deliver results quickly

Excellent relationship management, negotiation and persuasion skills. Ability to convince others and influence outcomes.

Strong negotiation skill, good interpersonal and communication skills.

Strong team player, self-starter and the ability to take initiatives.

Experience

Minimum 5+ years sourcing experience of truck and bus automotive

General Requirements

Frequent in-region travel will be required
